It's worth noting that, shortly after that second error, Access crashes and burns horribly, even after several reinstalls of Access and VBA.

So, I've managed to fix the "Unknown" error message box.

You receive an "Unknown" or a "Workgroup Administrator couldn't create the workgroup information file" error message when you open a database or a table in Access 2002.

Now, this could be fixed by a Jet reinstall but - that's right - Windows XP SP 2 doesn't let you reinstall Jet.
