Big Day Out 2007 (Gold Coast) Photos (I am not a very good photographer, so most of the photos are a bit blurry.)
I really enjoyed the day, although I got there later than I would have liked. I managed to see:
- The Herd (who were having a great time up there)
- Evermore (who are a bit disappointing live)
- Little Birdy (also enjoying themselves a lot)
- Eskimo Joe (pretty good)
- John Butler (with a completely different crowd to just about every other band)
- some of The Killers (played all their good songs first, then I went to get dinner)
- Something For Kate (have they changed songs yet?)
- Jet (although I spent most of the set kicking and shoving my way into the controlled area - made it with four limbs and both kidneys, victory!)
- Muse (who had enormous video screens which, among other things, had the lyrics to Knights of Cydonia to get everyone singing along, and dancing robots)
- Tool (well, I left pretty quickly after realising that even with 60 kW of speakers, they weren't my thing)
- The Presets (why didn't I get there earlier?)
So all in all, a thoroughly enjoyable day... made easier by the fact that [NTU] dropped us off and picked us up from just down the road!
$5 for a can of beer was a bit extreme though...
